well...dropping Trace's mattress 6 inches didn't phase him. Ryan found Trace at the top of the stairs today about 30 minutes after we thought he was napping in his crib. I took him back to his room and he showed me how easy he can pull himself up and swing his leg over the front of the crib. Yikes! The gate will now be shut during naps & at night and the monitor will be turned up so we can listen for him trying to climb out. It may be an interesting couple of weeks.
The Greths came over to watch the Superbowl game tonight and Trista & Adrian played upstairs and here is one of the conversations we overheard:
Trista: Adrian, do you want to help me organize?
Adrian: What is organizing?
Trista: I don't know.
Adrian: Sure, I'll help you.
a few minutes later:
Mom: What are you guys doing?
Trista: We are organizing?
Mom: What is organizing?
Trista: I don't know. You know Mom, you've done it before. It takes a long time.
By the way, she does know what it means because it has been one of her favorite sayings the past 2 weeks and she says it when she is cleaning her kitchen and putting her silverware in one drawer, cups in the cupboard, plates, & food all in the right places. Maybe she will grow up to keep us all organized!
