Ryan's Birthday

I'm a little behind, so I'm hoping to catch up with a few posts tonight. Ryan's birthday was on the 3rd of February. Trista was so excited to celebrate his birthday, but thought a birthday meant a big party. We did go out for dinner with friends the weekend before and celebrated with cake following dinner for Ryan & Susana (her birthday is on the 4th). On Ryan's day, it was all about hanging out as a family. We picked up Chilis for dinner and played his new game Rock Band til the kids had to go to bed. It was so much fun - the kids really got into the singing. (see pics for evidence)

Life & our kids keep us busy, so I wanted to list a few things about Ryan that make my heart happy. I love....

• that his favorite weekend night is to stay home and play with his kids


• that he calls Trista "Goose" (the origination of that nickname is a story in itself)


• that he is the leader of our family


• that he enjoys home improvement projects


• that he greets me with a kiss everynight he gets home from work


• that he loves all the new electronics and gets excited telling me all about what they can do even though I don't have a clue what he is talking about


• that he will help me with the dishes


• that if Trace is sleeping in our bed, he can't help waking Trace up in the morning before he leaves for work


• that he likes to take us out for ice cream

I am so proud of him and wanted to celebrate who he is on his birthday.
