Ice Storm

This is before we got another half inch of ice and the branches started breaking.

Today, the kids & I were stuck at home because of the ice storm that hit last night and continued all day. It is suppose to quit during the night, but we now have about an inch of ice and the temp dropped into single digits. We lost a lot of branches tonight and the wind has picked up so it will be interesting to see our yard in the morning. Thankfully, we still have electricity although there are many in the area without. The kids really wanted to go outside, so even though it was sleeting, we bundled up and ventured outside at 10. Thankfully, Grandma gave them rain boots for Christmas because we don't have snow boots (they usually don't get any use). Trista had to try out her new umbrella and of course Trace found the mud puddle and they stomped through the ice.

Trista quote of the day: "I kicked the train because I was so fuss-err-rated with Trace!"
