Our town had a new attraction this winter - an outdoor ice skating rink. We had been wanting to try it since December, but just hadn't been able to fit it in. So on Saturday, the snow was still around, but it was suppose to be a warmer day so we took the kids to the rink to give it a try. Both of them had a great time. Trista was a little timid after she fell and landed right on a button on her jeans and got a pretty deep bruise -but she didn't cry and got back up and kept skating. (I probably shouldn't have made her change into jeans). Trace was ready to just take off by himself. We made him use the sliders and hold Ryan's hand because I didn't want him to fall and be done 5 minutes into it...but we shouldn't have known better - it's Trace-man. He wasn't afraid and we finally gave in and let him just give it a try and he loved it - he fell and he got up over and over, but he kept doing it all by himself and he was so proud.
This is how Trace concentrates!
Our little skater is all done and ready for some cotton candy!
