It feels like Spring....

Finally - the warmer weather has arrived (although it isn't expected to stick around). I had to work the first part of last week, so the kids & I have been enjoying a very long weekend. And we kicked it off on Thursday with a picnic at the park. We decided to try the park in Bella Vista so we could take Trista's bike and ride around the lake. We had so much fun. Although I'm not always a big fan of a sand playground, we kicked off our shoes & socks, rolled our jeans and had a blast. Trace went down the twister slide probably 20 times in a row and Trista made friends with a little girl named Haley - just like her cousin she kept telling me. Once we were done with our picnic we packed up to take the bike ride. Trista's new friend asked if we could walk the trail since she didn't bring her bike and Trista quickly responded with "You can ride my bike - I'll share." I was so proud of her - she let her go first and never complained and asked for it back. Her friend rode it most of the way...until......the very last stretch before we were going to break at the creak. Trista was riding and was going pretty fast she headed down a short hill and started to wobble.....first bike accident with handlebars to the ribs. She got quite a bruise and skinned her belly pretty good, but she was tough. (she rode it back to the car and rode the next day with Adrian)

We had so much fun we went back on Friday with the Greth family. Trista & I decided that we could do this every day!

Here are some pics from the park:

This is Trace eating sand (it wasn't an accident and he tried it multiple times - such a boy!)
We had an ice cream cone on the way home and we giggled how Trace looked like Santa.
