Just a glimpse at Trey's first tooth that has been causing us many restless nights :)

2011.10.16 {Trey - 8 months}
Trey - you are growing too fast, but it is so fun to see you discovering new things! At 8 months old, you are starting to change from a baby into a little boy with such a sweet personality:
- your 1st tooth just popped through on the date you turned 8 months old
- your favorite snack is puffs - I think you could snack on them all day long - I love how they stick to your fingers and you keep smearing your hand across your face until you can get that puff into your mouth
- you enjoy watching your brother and sister play around you
- we have made up a few new nicknames in our house - Trista likes to call you "bubba", but I think "Trey Trey" is more fun, Trace has become your "bro-bo", and Trista decided she likes "sassy-sis", but I think she is going to remain "sis" to both of you boys
- you love eating finger foods - waffles & bananas at breakfast, grapes for lunch, and bread anytime.
- you are days away from crawling - you are up on all fours and rocking away and you have figured out how to roll and pull your way all over the family room
- you have started "dancing" when we sing your name (rocking your torso up and down)
- you are going to be my only baby that has separation anxiety at this age - you definitely are a mama's boy right now (and I'm ok with that :)
- you LOVE to be outside - you are instantly in a good mood when you get into that fresh air
- you are so ticklish - and we love to hear you chuckle
- yes, everything goes into your mouth - including the leaves although you found out they didn't taste very good
2011.09.18 {big sis duties}
I can't praise Trista enough for being such a great big sis to her brothers - she continues to amaze me and inspire me to love and serve my kiddos. She is a natural little mama and I love to be caught in awe of her sweet acts of love. Today, I found her reading to Trey and he was loving it.
2011.09.10 {my baby is blonde}
Trey is definitely growing and changing - one of the big differences is his hair color!
Here is his signature grin - Luv it!
Trey has been sticking out his tongue lately which is cute, but oh so slobbery!
This was just a test picture as I was getting ready, but I thought it was too cute to see that he may be just like his big brother - sticking out that tongue when he is concentrating!2011.08.31 {scrub-a-dub-dub, Trey is in the duckie tub!}
All of my kids have loved the Mr. Duck tub and Trey is no exception. He loves that he can now sit up in the tub and have the freedom to splash, pick up toys to chew, and bang on the soft sides of his tub. My boy is sure growing fast!
2011.08.15 {Trey - 6 months old}
Little Trey - you are growing too fast! You are six months old already and such a joyful baby! We love having you in our lives and are so blessed by the happiness you share with us all.
At six months:
At six months:
- you are loving rice cereal twice a day
- chewing on your toes
- sitting up on your own - but once you start tipping over, down you go
- you have had your first haircut
- you are sleeping all night again (9:00 - 5:00 - yeah :)
- you are so ticklish
- giggles give you the hiccups
- you still get stuck on your tummy and get mad after awhile because you can't get rolled back over
- you like to sleep on your side
- you are practicing saying "Mama"- which for you is sticking out your tongue, opening your mouth twice like you are mouthing the word with no sound - we will keep practicing :)
- you weigh 17 lbs - which is 43 percentile in weight and 75 percentile in height
- you have been such a good baby on all our road trips this summer
- you love to snuggle your blanket over your face to fall asleep
- you still have your blue eyes :) maybe they are going to stay
- you loved the swing and i love those chubby thighs
2011.07.15 {Trey - 5 months}
My baby is 5 months old already.
The many faces of Trey!
I love that I caught this sneeze in action!
THE THINGS I DON'T WANT TO FORGET:
- you are chewing on everthing - your fingers, toys, my shoulder - seems you may be teething already
- you like to be held upright looking over my shoulder
- how soft your hands are as you hold on to my arm when we snuggle close - your cheek is pressed to mine and we rock gently and hum "Take me out to the Ballgame"
- your crazy hair - it is longer now than we will ever allow it to be again. You have a mullet down the center of your head with long pieces around your ears. I am constantly sweeping it out of your eyes and patting down the back. I hesitate to give you a haircut because I am afraid you will look too grownup - I'm not ready to let go of my baby boy.
- you are strong! - You love to practice standing up on my lap and in your exersaucer. You are starting to master the art of sitting up on your own - it won't be long.
- your babbling sounds - "ba" & "ma" and the way you "pop" your lips.
- the way you giggle when we tickle your neck, thighs, and sides - you are a ticklicious boy!
- Daddy thinks you like your feet rubbed like your sis, but Mommy doesn't seem to know the trick.
- you started eating rice cereal - not sure what to think about it yet.
- you are finally sleeping in your own room, but Mommy sleeps in the spare bed in your room so she doesn't have to go up and down the stairs since you decided to wake up during the night for the past few weeks.
