Pumpkin Carving

Well...it happened again this year - we missed out on the big pumpkin patch/corn maze family day I had hoped for. Due to the rain, kiddos being sick, and just not enough Saturdays in a month, we didn't make it up to the pumpkin patch in Missouri. But thankfully, the kids experienced picking a pumpkin from the vine while we were visiting Grandma in Indiana and we still made a couple of fun nights for carving our Wal-Mart bought pumpkins. Ryan was so excited to carve the pumpkins after finding a Dremel tool designed just for this purpose at Lowe's about a month ago - he just had to try it. (After testing - we give it a 2.5 out of 5 - small specs of pumpkin were flying everywhere and it was wet so it stuck to everything - kids had fun doing some freelance drawing on the backs of the pumpkins.) I need to post some pics of their Indiana pumpkins - they wouldn't think about carving their pirate & princess.
