We are also so proud of Adrian and thankful they had the opportunity to attend preschool together. Adrian is off to kindergarten in the fall - we are so excited for him.

Our Smiling Soccer Star
A whole new Vocabulary
Well - all my fears of Trace's lack words is gone. Trace is talking up a storm - but all his new & favorite words have to do with GOLF. His absolute favorite word is "Gaa-Car" (golf cart).
Our property backs up to the Lost Springs golf course, so this Spring, we got a family golf cart and it has proved to be so much fun. We spend many evenings taking a ride on the golf cart out on the course and the kids play a few holes with Ryan. Trace eagerly greets Ryan at the door every night with "Hi Daddy, gaa-car" Both kids have improved their swing and just love to spend time with Ryan on the course.
Trace's other golf words include:
ball
tee
putter
go daddy
shhhh
water
flag

Family Day at the Zoo
I am posting this out of order....but wanted to record the memories.

The one animal Trista wanted to vist was the giraffe. The Tulsa zoo only had 1 giraffe, but it was enough for her to be excited. She still talks about visiting the giraffes at the Indy zoo with Grandma and feeding the giraffe a carrot - after she took a bite of the carrot herself!

We had such a fun day on Sunday in May - just enjoying time as a family at the Tulsa Zoo. The kids had a wonderful time discovering all of the animals and we had a wonderful time enjoying them.
Here are a few pics from our fun day:
Our Goose
More on her nickname:
It is an abbreviated version of the initial nickname "Monkey Goose" - which is a blended nickname of "Monkey George" (which she got after seeing her 1st movie at the theater and talking non-stop about Curious George for a week) and "Silly Goose" (which we have called her since she was 2 years old because she always makes us smile).
Some of her other nicknames include:
Trista Jean Bean
Sally Jo
Silly Sally
Goosie Ma-noosie
Fred
Smeal - as in "Deal, Smeal?"
Pumpkins
Sweety Peaty
Sugar Bugar
And a side note - she took off her sunglasses more than she wore them at the zoo so she could carry them on her shirt like her Papa Peterson does. (see pic above)
My brown eyed boy!
Soccer Saturday
Trista has only 1 Soccer game left, but it may be rained out this weekend. We took some pics from last Saturday. She is doing so much better understanding the concept of the game and understanding what it means when her mommy & daddy yell "hustle". We are proud of her effort. She even scored a goal on Saturday - her third of the season.

On the way home, Trista wouldn't let us pass the ponies without stopping, so she enjoyed a ride on Stich. She wants to go back every day.

Dear Santa,
Trista has already started thinking about what she wants to ask Santa for next Christmas. Trista asked for a pony last Christmas and Santa sure delivered - she has a 3 1/2 foot Fur-Real pony sitting in our living room that she really enjoys. But now that she is four, she insists she is going to ask Santa for a real pony next year. We have been having this conversation for the past few weeks:
Trista: I'm going to ask Santa for a REAL pony.
Me: Trista, Santa gave you a pony already.
Trista: No, Mom, a REAL pony.
Me: Why don't you ask Santa for something different this year.
Trista: No, I want a REAL pony to ride.
Me: Santa can't give you a real pony. A real pony needs a barn and a big pasture.
Trista: Then I'll ask Santa for a barn and pasture too.
Me: Santa can't carry those things in his sleigh.
Trista: Well, I'm still going to ask for a REAL pony.
Me: Trista, Santa is going to tell you no.
Trista: Why?
Me: Because we can't keep a horse at our house. You don't want Santa to tell you no. You better think of something else you can ask Santa for.
Trista: Ok Mom......I'll ask Santa for a Unicorn!
Oh Boy - Santa is going to have a big order to fill in 2009!

"Mommy, pay"
Trace reminds us to pray before eating at almost every meal - even Sunday nights when it is cereal/waffle night. He screams "Mommie - Mommie", until I turn to him and see him with this hands folded and he quietly says "pay". Once we are done with "Amen" he starts clapping. We are so blessed!
Daddy, will you be my prince?
Trista was dancing to her music today in her own chosen outfit and she called out to Ryan, "Daddy, will you be my prince?" When he tried to convince her to dance without him, she then insisted, "Daddy, you HAVE to be my prince!" So they danced and giggled!
