Easter Pics

Well - here they are....but unfortunately, my kiddos were goofy with sugar on Easter, so their cuteness is not reflected very well in the pictures of them. But, the pictures still made me giggle because they do reflect the happiness of the day. Thank you Grandma Peterson for the adorable Easter outfits.

Trista & Adrian ran out of room when hunting for eggs.....

Family Pics (are they ever perfect with 2 or 3 kids?)

We are out numbered now!

My Prince & Princess

Trista loves to dress up - and she often likes to include her brother, but thankfully, she hasn't tried to dress him up in girl clothes. This is what they came down in tonight....
Daddy - don't be mad about the paci - he was on his way to bed :)

1st Natural Baseball Game

Last night was opening night for the Naturals. Trista was really looking forward to it - more for the food, the playground, and the fireworks than the baseball game. Unfortunately, the wind was strong and it was too cold to keep the kids there for fireworks, but we still had a good time while we were there. Trace is going to keep us busy this season - he sat on our lap through the second pitch, then he was ready to be on the run.

Makes my heart happy - love for reading

We visited the library on Monday - something we haven't done in a long time, but we hope to start making it a weekly stop after gymnastics class. Trista picked out books all related to horses - she even found one called the Princess and the Horses - perfect combination. Trace was more interested in running down the aisles and trying out the computers. But that afternoon, while I was vacumming I noticed it was quiet when I turned it off so I went hunting for the kids and this is what I found.....

Sure makes my heart happy to see them reading and enjoying books. I hope our trips to the library will continue to encourage them.

Too funny!

I know I have Easter posts to make yet, but I just couldn't forget this one so had to share....

Driving home from the downtown park in Bentonville, we pass a beautifully restored old white house with a gated driveway on gorgeous piece of property. Today, Trista commented: "There is the new big white house. That is for our new.....our new.......(pause).....our new present, Rock-a-bama! He lives there."

Easter Fun

Easter Joy! Even though it was a very rainy day here on Easter Sunday, it was a beautiful day because Jesus is Alive! What a wonderful (but difficult) story to share with Trista this year. We talked about the reason we celebrate on Easter quite a few times the weeks leading up to Easter and she really seemed to follow the story until the end and then she asks the same question each time: "How can Jesus be in Heaven and in my heart?" Followed by "How does Jesus fit in my heart?" Tough questions - such a curious mind!

Just thought we would share some highlights from our Easter events. I will have to post pictures of the kids on Easter Sunday later, because all the pics are on Susana's camera. Grandma sent the kids adorable Easter outfits - Trista looked so grown up in her aqua dress and sweater and Trace looked like handsome little man in his argyle vest. (I will post a picture soon). We enjoyed Easter dinner at the Iliria's house with them & the Greth family. We had a delicious meal and enjoyed the kids - watching them hunt for 200 eggs inside the house!

Coloring Easter Eggs:

Special Easter Chocolates from Papa. Trace said "vroom, vroom" immediately when he opened is and drove it all across the table:
Trista loved her chocolate piano - which is just like the real piano that Papa gave her and brought to AR from Indiana in February. She loves to "play" and make up her own songs on her real piano. We often have to ask her to stop screaming while she plays the piano, but she tells us she was just trying to sing loud enough so we could hear her in the family room.

Grandma sent both kids wonderful Easter buckets with goodies and fun toys. Their favorite toy was the shakin car. Thank goodness Grandma found one in pink so they both got one, or Trista would have stolen Trace's.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

Trista: "Mom, are you thinking what I'm thinking?
Me: (thinking where did that come from?) " I don't know, what are you thinking?
Trista: "I can't tell you, that's why I asked you are you thinking what I'm thinking?
Me: "I still don't know - are you thinking about basketball?" (we were watching the NCAA championship)
Trista: " No, you have to be thinking about Nacho Chip so you can be thinking what I'm thinking"

Easter Egg Hunt

The kids had a blast! We met up with our friends at the local park and had our own Easter Egg Hunt. The weather was beautiful and we are so thankful for such wonderful friends!
